We are ‘over’ 50 years old
1967 – 2017
This year we are 50 years old. We thought it would be a good time to digitise our photo archive & make it available online via Instagram.
We are still working through old albums and picture collections to scan and digitise our journey. Take a look below and see how we are progressing. This will be a work in progress for some time.
Please share your memories and follow us on Instagram.
Earlier this week, our amazing Year 5s showcased their creativity and teamwork by designing their own board games — then invited the rest of the school to play! Such a fantastic way to learn, share, and have fun together! 👏🧠🎉
At the beginning of this week, some of our amazing Year 6 children set off on their annual residential to Raywell Activity Centre! They had an unforgettable time, taking part in a range of exciting activities – and even tried their hand at archery!

12R have been busy identifying and classifying leaves this morning. They used magnifying glasses to carefully observe and describe their leaves. Well done! 🤩
3/4 are enjoying their electricity topic. They have been tasked with using a variety of components to build a successful simple circuit 💡👩🔬👨🔬 🔋
Earlier this week, Key Stage One held their annual Sports Day under mostly blue skies!
The children took part in running races, the egg and spoon challenge, and the always-fun sack race — all with huge smiles and tons of energy!
A fantastic couple of days filled with fun, laughter, and the spirit of friendly competition.

We were thrilled to welcome back one of our alumni, a former pupil of Swinemoor Primary School, who returned to his alma mater to celebrate his incredible achievement: the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award! It’s always inspiring to see our past students excel and share their successes with the next generation
1/2R thoroughly enjoyed their attendance treat with Mrs Sharp today! We won this half terms attendance competition and our treat was playing some party games! I wonder which class will win next?
Congratulations to this week’s reading champions from 1/2W. Their treat was lunch with Mr W.
Our Masterly Minds children had an amazing visit to Sledmere House this week! They explored the beautiful hall, strolled through the stunning gardens, and topped it all off with a lovely picnic on the lawn. Such a memorable day of learning and fun!

Our amazing Year 5/6 children recently explored the beautiful Beverley Westwood! With sketchbooks in hand, they captured stunning drawings of the iconic Black Mill and, after lunch, the Beverley Minster on the horizon. A perfect blend of nature, creativity, and local heritage!

The KS2 children thoroughly enjoyed their cricket engagement day. Thank you to coach Dan and Yorkshire Cricket.
We’re incredibly proud of our former Swinemoor pupil as he moves on from Hull City to the next chapter in his footballing journey. It’s been inspiring to watch his career flourish, and we wish him every success for the future—once a Swinemoor star, always a Swinemoor star! ⭐⚽
In science, Y3/4 have been using clay to mimic the process of fossilisation.
Friday afternoons are always a special time where we enjoy our beautiful EYFS garden and develop our friendships and social skills. Adults support us to continue our conversations, respond appropriately and enhance our imaginative play. A great way to start the weekend!
