School Uniform

Swinemoor Primary School has a school uniform. This consists of combinations the following:

  • Grey or black shorts, trousers, skirt or pinafore dress
  • Black sensible shoes
  • Red sweatshirt or cardigan
  • White polo shirt
  • Red and white gingham summer dress.

These can be purchased from local supermarkets or shops. These are required in order to comply with the Home-School Agreement. However, they can be purchased from which ever outlet families and carers prefer.

Red sweatshirts bearing the school logo can be purchased from the school office or TMX clothing in Beverley. Please see price list below.

PE Kit

Children are required to bring appropriate clothing and footwear for P.E. and games. This depends on the activity and season.

Our standard PE kit is a white T-shirt and red shorts. Again, these can be purchased from local supermarkets or shops or from the school office (see price list below). The school provides white T-shirt and red shorts for all children starting in reception. The school understands the financial impact of a chid needing all new uniform and kit in the first year of school. This gesture is to offer some assistance and forms part of the school’s welcome arrangements.

In addition to the above Swinemoor Primary School is currently offering ‘SWINEMOOR WINNER’ apparel/uniform as prizes for school dojo merit points. Dojos are awarded for a broad range of achievements and endeavour in school life. These include but are not limited to:

  • Completing a section of Learning Beyond The Classroom at home
  • Representing the school in sporting events and tournaments
  • Gaining a Graduate Award badge
  • Winning inter and intra curriculum competitions

The tariff for apparel/uniform is as follows:

  • 200 dojo points – SWINEMOOR WINNER badged PE top
  • 400 dojo points – SWINEMOOR WINNER badged polo shirt
  • 600 dojo points – SWINEMOOR WINNER badged sweatshirt
  • 800 dojo points – SWINEMOOR WINNER trophy

The children wear these with pride and their whole community and family knows the school values their commitment to school life and competition. It also helps with costs to families in these challenging times. Many families and carers swap, share and hand down uniform amongst themselves or via the school office.

Swinemoor Primary School believes that uniform makes us ready for school; gives us a sense of belonging and pride; and makes decisions about to wear and what to getting ready for the coming week as simple as possible. The school also values greatly families’ and carers’ adherence to this, as can be seen every assembly and playtime when our children look so smart and proud of their school.

Should families or carers need any guidance or further information, please contact the School Office.
