The Grand Old Duke of York (F1O)
In Foundation and Year 1 we have been learning some traditional nursery rhymes. We learnt a song called The Grand Old Duke of York. We practised it and made up some of our own actions. When we went on our visit to Conisbrough Castle, we performed the song whilst marching up and down the hill. It was really fun. When we got back to school, we sang as a group into a microphone. The pictures and our voices have been put with some music and made into a short video. We are really pleased with our performance but next time we perform, we want to make it even better. To do this, we need to keep in time with the music.
