Headteacher Appraisal 2022-2023
Objective 1:
To ensure the pre-pandemic statistically high performance is recovered and relates favourably to national standards taking account of lost lockdown learning
Success Criteria:
- Groups are increasingly in line with flight path with attainment on entry gap closed
- Cohort attainment profiles between contrasting groups are less at the end of the academic year than at the beginning in the majority of cases.
- Development of phonics, through the use of a single synthetic phonics programme, provides pupils with a strong start to early reading and vocabulary development

Objective 2:
Subject leaders to improve pupils’ aural and written language skills by providing a dictation programme for their subject.
Success Criteria:
- Review of learning across the school indicates progression in aural and written language skills over time
- Leaders able to demonstrate how the dictation programme for their subject contributes towards the development of pupils’ aural and written language skills

Objective 3:
To develop an assessment system designed to ensure that the curriculum in foundation subjects is effective
Success Criteria:
- Milestones in school development plan relate to success criteria as reported throughout the year
