Raywell Residential
What we thought of our residential trip…
At the end of June, years 3 and 4 travelled a short distance from Beverley to Raywell, to spend two action-packed days together. For some of us, it was our first night away from home, so we were a little nervous as well as excited.
As soon as we arrived at Raywell, we unpacked our bags, unrolled our sleeping bags and set off on an expedition to Nut Wood. Once there, we all built shelters from sticks, twigs and leaves. It was great fun, particularly when we hid in our finished shelters and the teachers threw water at us! After that, we took turns to walk along a very wobbly log and got really dirty on the tricky obstacle course.
After a delicious tea, there was time for games and songs before lights out. We all slept (or tried to sleep!) in our cabins. Some of us even had secret midnight feasts!
The next morning, after breakfast, we enjoyed more fun, games and challenges before it was time to head back to school.
It had been a wonderful residential and we would like to thank our teachers for making the trip so special for us.
